Daniel Joggi, Präsident

Dr. Daniel Joggi, Trélex VD, Chairman
Dr. Joggi, who studied Agronomics at the ETH in Zurich, has been tetraplegic since a skiing accident in 1977. The father-of-two was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Swiss Paraplegic Foundation in 2000, and has presided as chairman since December 2009.
 

The main task of the Board of Trustees of the Swiss Paraplegic Foundation (SPF) is to set the organisational and economic safeguards for the Foundation's successful role as the provider of an extensive chain of services for people with spinal paralysis, as well as to ensure the successful management of all the companies in the Swiss Paraplegic Group.


Hans Jürg Deutsch, Vizepräsident

Hans Jürg Deutsch, Greifensee ZH, Vice-Chairman
The experienced journalist and media specialist is a member of the staff of Ringier AG and leads the Health Unit ("Gesundheit Sprechstunde" [Health Consultation] TV programme). He is wheelchair-bound as a result of poliomyelitis suffered early in life.
 


Christian Betl, Mitglied

Christian Betl, Steinach SG
The Swiss Paraplegics Association is now represented by the chairman of its Central Board, Christian Betl. Austrian-board Mr. Betl, has been in a wheelchair since 1992, works as a trustee and has two children.
 


Jacqueline Blanc, Mitglied

Jacqueline Blanc, Grand-Lancy GE
She suffered a stroke in 1968 and has been a paraplegic ever since. Born in Geneva, she works part-time as a secretary and is head of the Technical Commission for Table Tennis at Wheelchair Sport Switzerland.
 


Susy Brüschweiler, Mitglied

Susy Brüschweiler, Blonay VD
Susy Brüschweiler completed a course at the University of Neuchâtel, obtaining a graduation certificate in economics and business administration. She served as Chairman of the Executive Board of SV Switzerland from 1995 to 1999 and as CEO of SV Group from 1999 until May 2010. She had previously held various vocational training management posts related to nursing. From 1989 to 2007 she was a member of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), of which she remains an honorary member. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of Siegfried AG since 1999. Susy Brüschweiler holds a number of other offices, including as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Swiss Paraplegic Foundation in Nottwil, and as a member of the Board of Directors of Schweizerische Mobiliar Holding AG. She has been President of SV Foundation since August 2010.
 


Heinz Frei, Mitglied

Heinz Frei, Etziken SO
The trained surveyor has been paralysed since an accident whilst mountain running in 1978. As a wheelchair athlete he won 14 gold medals at the Paralympics, is a multiple world champion, world record holder and marathon winner.
 


Ulrich Liechti, Unterseen (BE)
After an initial training in banking, the financial expert furthered his training, obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration qualification and worked until December 2010 as the CFO of the catering company SV Group. He also sits on the Board of Trustees of the atupri health insurance scheme.


Barbara Moser Blanc
After studying Business Management at Northwest Switzerland University of Applied Sciences (FHNW), she completed the Highest Degree as a State-Certified Marketing Manager, as well as a diploma in "Systemic Coaching". She also holds a Masters in Corporate Development/Change Management, as well as the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Psychology. Barbara Moser is employed as a Management Consultant on Strategy, Marketing and Personnel Matters, in Executive Search, Coaching, as well as as a marketing lecturer.  


Dr. Kuno Schedler, Mitglied

Dr. Kuno Schedler, St. Gallen
Dr. Schedler has been a full professor of Business Management with special regard for Public Management at the University of St. Gallen since October 2000. He represents Swiss Paraplegic Research on the Board of Trustees.
 


Erwin Zemp, Mitglied

Erwin Zemp, Nottwil LU
A father of two sons, Mr. Zemp works in the Life Coaching department of the Swiss Paraplegics Association. The qualified social worker has been paralysed since a traffic accident in 1976.

 


Joseph Hofstetter

Joseph Hofstetter, Sursee LU, Secretary
Doctorate in Law (University of Bern). He worked as a lawyer in the Department of Justice of the canton of Lucerne up to 2000 and was employed by the Swiss Paraplegics Association as a legal advisor until 2006. Since then he has held the position of Head of Legal Services at the Swiss Paraplegics Foundation and has been Secretary General since 2010.
